The FS45 TOPS Firestrike 45 Knife features a 7 inch modified drop point fixed blade made of 1095 steel, .250 inch thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 56-58, Black Traction Coated finish, swedged spine with small sawtooth area, and a notched thumb ramp for secure purchase. The Firestrike 45 has full tang construction for strength; pronounced finger groove, notched spine and ergonomic black linen Micarta scales for secure grip, and an extended pommel with lanyard holes. A Kydex sheath with rotating spring clip is included. The TOPS Knives Firestrike 45 Knife has an overall length of 12.75 inches, and it weighs 20 ounces with the sheath. Made in the USA.

Many years ago, TOPS Knives received multiple requests for a bayonet style point on a heavy-duty fighting knife. Months of refinement produced the Firestrike. It was extensively tested and written up by MSG Kim Breed (retired 5th Special Forces) in the March 2001 issue of Blade Magazine.
