I've been using the Wyoming knife now 41 years now. I've never come across a better big game field dressing knife. The blade's are scary sharp like a scalpel in sharpness. So you should be very happy that your fingers are away and protected from both blade's on your Wyoming knife. Its true what the Wyoming knife company says about their knives. It's like opening your game with a zipper. My Wyoming knife came with a nice hand tooled leather sheath. The handle of mine is made from a dipped formed metal.The blade's are easily changed. The newer models are made from a special resin. All newer models come with knife, extra blade, leather or camouflage sheath. Have a good one.

I have owned my original wyoming knife since the early 80's as a teen hunter. My first experince in using a wyoming knife was with my first cousin when we were deer hunted down in south carolina. We field dressed 8 deer that season. We both were amazed in how lightning fast we could have a deer field dressed and how scary sharp the blade was on the wyoming knife. It stayed razor sharp in field dressing those 8 deer. We used the wyoming saw as well that year. I've never found a better knife & saw combination in my 45 years in hunting big game.Both the knife and saw are easy to use and the blades are simple to change. Get yourself one you'll enjoy it. Have a good one.

With deer season beginning here in Texas next week, I needed a few more knives and I have relied on Old Hickory for many years. Take care of them, keep them dry and sharp, and they will provide you years of service.

The Wyoming Knife is my go to blade for skinning and it is always good to have a few spare replacement blades.

The Wyoming Knife compact skinning tool is awesome for skinning a hog or several whitetail deer before the blades need to be replaced. Replacing the blades takes less than a minute. Use this along with the Wyoming Saw, and you have everything you need for skinning small to medium size animals.

I have used the Wyoming Knife for many years both skinning & gutting Deer, Rabbits, squirrels & Raccoon. It's not good for cutting bone.The uniqueness and sharpness of the blade is what makes it so great. The Wyoming Knife is an excellent tool for a hunter in your Family.
